Dear LCMS Bobcat Family and Friends:
As a reminder today, your child will bring home a very important letter about expedited retakes of SOL tests from Dr. LuAnne Unruh, the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction. A member of the administrative or guidance team will be in contact with you to see whether or not you would like for your child to take the expedited retakes. Participation is completely voluntary. If your child qualifies to take the retake and you opt for your child to do so, please know that he or she will be remediated by teachers before taking the expedited retake. Information from the SOL tests and expedited retakes is helpful regarding future student placement. Furthermore, as referenced in my Principal Updates regarding summer school and retention criteria, successful completion on the expedited retake may possibly assist your child in not having to attend summer school.
