LCMS Principal Update for March 9-13, 2015

Dear LCMS Bobcat Family and Friends:

As you may know, March is a very busy month, and much has already occurred. I really appreciate the feedback. Your input helps my staff and me know how to make our school even more effective for your children and our students, so thank you!

A reminder that the LCMS Spring Sports Parent meeting will be held on Thursday, March 19 at 6:00 p.m. in the LCMS Forum. Please join us on this night as Terry Marks (the Middle School Athletic Director) will share with you important information as well as how to sign up for "Bobcat Sports Updates," which will inform you of all of the up-to-date events.

The Athletics Department also has its own website at https://sites.google.com/a/lcps.k12.va.us/lcms-athletics/ This site provides you with all information regarding upcoming events. Another method to reach this website is to go to the LCMS webpage at http://lcms.lcps.k12.va.us/pages/Louisa_County_Middle_School .  Click the tab Activities and then Athletics, which will take you to the above mentioned website.

Under the LCMS main page, there is also another tab Students. Please click on Student Announcements. These are the daily announcements made for students each morning.

Finally, if you have questions about upcoming events, please email Terry Mark directly at markstl@lcps.k12.va.us or contact her at (540) 894-5457 ext. 2140. She looks forward to speaking with you directly. Thank you!

Additionally, Tuesday, March 24 is Parent Teacher Conference. Your teacher should be communicating the following information to you. In a nut shell, you can email or call your child's teachers directly if you wish to schedule a fifteen minute appointment. These appointments are from 3:40 p.m. to 5:35 p.m., with 5:20 p.m. as the last fifteen minute appointment.
From 5:35 p.m. to 7:10 p.m. parents and guardians are welcome to drop in to see their child's teachers without an appointment. Please note that scheduled appointments are on a first come, first serve basis, and teachers are taking requests for appointments from parents and guardians from now until Friday, March 20. We will try out best to accommodate the time that you have requested.
After bus dismissal and up to 3:40 p.m. staff members will be meeting with me. We will begin our Parent Teacher Conferences promptly at 3:40 p.m. We look forward to seeing you on that night!
As always, please feel free to contact me at chenlc@lcps.k12.va.us if you have questions, concerns, or any feedback that you would like to share.
