Principal's Update for August 31, 2015

Dear LCMS Bobcat Family and Friends:

The following are some important updated and reminders.

If you are picking-up your child at the 3:09 p.m. dismissal, please feel free to pull up in the circle or to park in the Central Office parking lot. Starting tomorrow, teachers will be stationed in specific locations; that is, along the sidewalk behind the buses up to the second tree to provide parents with another option for pick-up. Parents no longer need to walk up to the red cones to pick up their child. You can meet your child on the sidewalk behind the buses for pick-up. A reminder that no child is allowed to cross in between the buses or to cut through the Central Office Parking Lot during the 3:09 p.m. dismissal. This is to ensure the safety of all of our students as this is a very busy time for traffic.

Furthermore, if you or your child is interested in learning more about the National Junior Honor Society, please feel free to attend an information session to be held on Thursday, September 3 at 6:30 p.m. in the LCMS Forum. You do not need to attend this session in order for your child to apply to NJHS. This is an information session to provide you and your child with more detailed information about NJHS and questions about the application process. This year, all seventh and eighth grade students who held a cumulative GPA of 3.4 at the end of Grade 6 may apply to NJHS. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact either Mary Eden at (540) 894 5457 ext. 2104 or Greg Palmer at (540) 894 5457 ext. 2108. Please click here, “NJHS Information 2015,” for more information.

Thank you for taking the time to read these updates. As I will say to my students each day, “This is important. You belong here. Effort makes a difference.”

With warm regards,
Lisa C. Chen
